Steven Kahou awarded best poster at SEG

Hector Pizarro (UCN-GET), Jorge Morales (UCN) and Steven Kahou (GET) presented their PhD works at the South American Metallogeny meeting in Santiago (https://www.seg2019.org), Chile.

Steven (on the left) was awarded the price of the best poster. Steven’s work are about the dating of supergene copper bearing minerals in Northern Chile. Steven is doing his PhD at the GET lab under the supervision of Stephanie Brichau and Stephanie Duchène with collaborations with Marc Poujol (Rennes) and Eduardo Campos (UCN). Congratulations Steven !

Rodrigo Riquelme keynote speaker at GRC meeting

Eduardo Campos and Rodrigo Riquelme participated to the Gordon Research Conference (US, August 5 – 10, 2018). Rodrigo Riquelme gave a keynote talk “Geomorphological Constraints on the Origin and Preservation of Supergene Deposits in the Atacama Desert” in the discussion session  “Ore Deposit Preservation, Enhancement and Destruction” managed by Eduardo Campos.
